  • What strategies and skills are necessary to perform well on the SAT writing and reading tests?
  • How is a thesis defended with specific references?

  • Review qualities of effective rhetorical analysis.
  • Complete SAT-type “Reading” and “Writing and Language” exercises.
  • Practice and score SAT practice tests.
  • Complete the SAT scoring exercise with a group of students.
  • Score and annotate your own SAT essay.

Common Assessments:
  • SAT Practice 4 test completed by October 1.
