Essential Questions:
  • How does one write a business letter?
  • How does one write a resume?
  • Where can I look for job opportunities?
  • How does one compose a professional email?
  • How does one prepare for an interview?


Activities:
  • Invite members of the community in to speak with students about the world of work.
  • Choose a job that you are qualified for now, and go through the process of applying for that job.
  • Choose a job that you hope to be qualified for in five-ten years, and go through the process of applying for that job.
  • Participate in mock interviews.



Common Assessment:
  • Formal cover letter and resume.
